Driver's Education

The purpose of this Driver Education course is to transfer knowledge, develop skills, and enhance the disposition of the teen, so he/she can perform as a safe and competent driver, thereby contributing to the reduction of crashes, fatalities, and injuries.  This course is built on a foundation that addresses what students will know and be able to do as a result of their participation in the program.  Driver’s education is an integral part of the total educational program of schools, comprehensive in scope, preventive in design, and developmental in nature.  It is very important that the student receive extended practice with a licensed adult, parent/guardian, or qualified driver to develop successful skills, processes, habits, and responsibilities.
